I had several other so called professionals come pay me a visit. Most wanted to replace my unit for a healthy commission probably, or the cost were going to be much higher than Tim's cost for the same parts and labor. Tim saved me hundred's and potentially thousands of dollars. Better Call Tim for all your Heating and Cooling Needs. Honest, Friendly, Effective.

We have been customers of your for about 10 years now and have been very happy with the service. Some years ago our heating unit failed on a cold December 23rd and a technician came out to fix it around dinner time. We were SO impressed with your dedication to your customers. Thanks again!

They worked on my air conditioning, and they did well. The guy who gave me the estimate was on time. He was friendly, and he didn’t try to oversell anything. The technicians who came to do the work were efficient. They treated it as a simple job, which it really should have been. Some of the other companies I spoke to oversold the job and made it complicated.

Our Frequently Asked Questions
HVAC is in common use in the heating and cooling industry. It stands for "heating, ventilation and air conditioning," three functions often combined into one system in today's modern homes and buildings.*
Do you do same day service?
Yes, typically we can offer same day service for estimates, repairs, tune-ups, duct cleaning and other HVAC and refrigeration services. Our regular hours are between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., however we also have technicians available for emergencies 24/7.
What is your heating & air conditioning service area?
We service all areas in and around Limestone and Madison Counties of North Alabama, including Huntsville, Madison, Harvest, Athens and surrounding areas. If you have a question on whether or not we'll come to you, give us a call at (256) 614-1456.
When should I have my heating and cooling system serviced?
Your HVAC systems should be serviced before the start of each heating and cooling season. So, your air conditioner should have regular maintenance performed at the end of winter or beginning of spring, while your heat pump or furnace should have its regular maintenance performed at the end of summer or beginning of fall.
Do you provide seasonal or yearly scheduled maintenance?
Yes, we provide yearly/seasonal schedule HVAC and refrigeration service. Please see the question above or learn more.
My air conditioner is frozen. What should I do?
When your air conditioning unit freezes up, either inside or outside, you have a potentially serious problem. When your AC is frozen, you could subject your system to serious damage if it isn’t addressed promptly. It is best to seek professional help -- and we're here to help. Call us at (256) 614-1456 or schedule an appointment.
What is SEER and EER?
SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. It is most commonly used to measure the efficiency of a central air conditioning. The higher the SEER rating, the more efficient the unit. An EER is short for Energy Efficiency Ratio and doesn’t take into consideration the time of year, but rather the system’s energy efficiency at the peak operating use. Both ratings should be considered in choosing prodcuts. Residential air conditioners sold in the U.S. must have at least a 13 SEER.
Should outdoor units by covered?
In short, no. Heat pumps and outdoor units operate year-round and should never be covered. They are built to withstand an outdoor environment and should not be covered. In fact, you should allow for room for air circulation in and out of the unit, roughly about 18 inches from the unit. Without this room for air circulation, the unit could overheat.
Should a thermostat be set to auto or on?
The ideal setting would be 'auto' by default. This way, the fan operates only when the temperature requires it. There are advantages to using the 'on' setting, however. With the 'on' setting, air is constantly filtered through the unit’s air filter, and the constantly circulating air results in an even temperature throughout the house.
What is the difference between a split system and a package unit?
A split system uses indoor and outdoor components to provide a complete home comfort system. A package unit or self-contained unit requires no external coils, air handlers, or heating units. A ductless mini-split system is an alternative to traditional heating and cooling like central air. Ductless HVAC works similarly to central heating and cooling, except that it doesn’t require ductwork.
What brand(s) do you install or supply during installations?
We are a Heil dealer. Though, we do service all makes and models of heating, cooling, and refrigeration products. We are also certified in Rinnai On Demand water heaters.
